Boasting privacy and unparalleled views, Martha’s Vineyard has been a popular summer destination for politicians from the Kennedy clan to the Clintons for decades. It has recently been reported that former President Brack Obama and his family are buying a $14.85 million dollar home on the island from current Boston Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck. Holding the nearest listing, Wendy Harman of Point B Realty sat down with The Wall Street Journal to discuss the home located across from the Obamas’ new summer residence.
Sprawling over 3 and a half stunning acres, this waterfront property is a dream summer destination. The home is located across the street from the Obamas’ rumored new home. Harman is expecting the market of Edgartown, MA to experience the Obama bounce to kick off the fall selling season.
Harman’s property sits on Edgartown Great Pond, which is an 890-acre coastal retreat known for its diverse wildlife population and ultra-luxurious homes. The contemporary shingled residence is comprised of the main house and a guest house and features open designed living spaces highlighted by vaulted ceilings and an abundance of glass and decks to maximize indoor/outdoor living.
