Up, Up, and Away | Take in the views from a hot air balloon ride

The world is a beautiful place to see and explore. Unfortunately, most of the time we can only enjoy it from one vantage point, the ground level. But take a ride in one of these hot air balloons and you can experience the natural beauty that surrounds us from way up above.

Cappadocia, Turkey

Probably one of the most famous destinations for a hot air balloon ride, Cappadocia’s prehistoric landscape is thanks to volcanic eruptions that took place millions of years ago.

Best time to visit: In the springtime from April to June and the fall from September to October. But plan to stay a few days in the area as the weather can change quickly.

Experience Africa’s Great Migration from above the plains of the Serengeti.

Best time to visit: Around June or July when the migration begins in Tanzania.

Loire Valley, France

It’s not every day your rendezvous is set near a château. Watch the sun rise over the vineyards in the region often referred to as the “Garden of France.”

Best time to visit: Starting in April all the way through October.

Lake Tahoe, California

Take in the surrounding views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains on a hot air balloon over Lake Tahoe. You can even make out the peaks of Yosemite National Park on a clear day.

Best time to visit: Lake Tahoe is known for its beaches … and its snow. So, plan your aerial adventure for the milder months from April to October.
