Founded in 2009 by film producers/outdoorsmen Palmer West and Jonah Smith, the Los Angeles brand AETHER Apparel is known for its functional mountain wear that remains stylish in the city.
While early collections focused on lightweight jackets and performance apparel, recent seasons have included loungewear, swimwear, and base layers. Brick-and-mortar outlets are limited to their Los Angeles and San Francisco locations-the latter of which is made entirely from shipping containers-but Aether's comprehensive website offers its own merchandise as well as hand-picked gadgets and gear.
