As luck would have it, I began my career in real estate during the height of the Great Recession. This proved to bring a great deal of financial turmoil to me and my family. I was working in real estate making next to no money, and my Father had just acquired his first apartment complex. Within short order of my Father doing so, two things were forcing him to the brink of foreclosure. Firstly, poor advice and representation by an inexperienced Broker. This led to massive expenditures that should have been foreseen. Secondly, his unscrupulous property manager who was worse than a slumlord. I was struggling to make ends meet, and my Father was hemorrhaging his life savings on his new investment. I’ll never forget the stress and despair this caused my parents. But there was a silver lining. During this time I learned to create unique solutions for my family to save the asset.
By studying highly successful multi family operators, and through applied knowledge, I turned the complex into the cash cow my Father dreamed of. This allowed my parents to escape financial hardship and to enjoy the benefits of passive income. The lessons I learned in the process established my guiding principles and how I operate in business; to protect my clients assets, without fail. And to maximize their property values. Today, I’m grateful for the opportunity to assist other families and investors with their real estate transactions.
