Cannes, France: Salon Des Vignerons, Calling All Wine Lovers
The French are known for having a keen taste for fine wines, usually French ones. So, it's only appropriate to showcase an amazing wine and food festival called the Salon Des Vignerons.
The Salon Des Vignerons, which translates to Room of Winemakers in English, is a showcase and festival of local vintners, wineries, and growers from surrounding French areas. This event is taking place in Cagnes Sur Mer over the weekend, at the Race Track. This incredible showcase, one of the best in the area, started on Friday May 3, 2013 and will close on Monday May 6, 2013.
Local specialties are featured at this event with fine wines and beverages from the Burgundy region, Bordeaux, Champagne, Provence, and many many more. Local Cognacs and fine spirits are on showcase as well as some of the areas favorite and best foods. Exquisite cheeses, delicious breads, delectable pastries, and savory pastas will all be served and available for purchase and tasting, along with many other local flavors.
From Friday to Sunday the event will be open from 10am to 8pm, and on Monday, the showcase will be open from 10am to 7pm. With two large halls featuring kiosks from each local vendor, each divided into section, the festival will also have a large outdoor selection of foods and local craftspeople.
